Meet The KIngs
“TIM AND KIRSTEN KING bring decades of life experience as well as professional training to the table. They have walked with Jesus and been blissfully married for 40+ years, have 5 children (and their pretty cool spouses) and 9 incredible grandchildren, who are the sweetest reward for all those harried parenting years.
Serving God’s Kingdom is Tim and Kirsten’s life’s song, and they pursue it through numerous avenues: leading, speaking, writing, counseling and coaching. Their passion for personal healing and growth, as well as marriage and family ministry, blossomed out of their pursuit of rewriting their own legacy… they determined to become the best individuals, partners and parents they possibly could.
Tim earned his BS in Business-Accountancy, and his MS in Psychology and Kirsten received 3 AA’s and then her PhT (Put Him Through). In 1992 they began counseling in their local church and later wrote a book on parenting, Helping Your Child Become, at the urging of their pastor. This led to speaking and preaching across the nation and internationally, as well as counseling countless wonderful people, both in person and remotely.
For the last couple of decades, the Kings have been full-time doing what they are most passionate about: evangelizing, pastoring, speaking, counseling…HELPING PEOPLE BECOME.
how it ALL started
“BOY MEETS GIRL”
On September 26, 1982 a broken and angry 20-year-old man stumbled into a fledgeling apostolic church in West Sacramento, California. He had been raised amid the chaos of alcoholism and drug abuse, by his single mother and a string of step-fathers. He found Jesus that day, was filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in the name of Jesus. The more he saw, the more he wanted the life that he observed his new church family live around him. The young man grew in the Word. He grew more and more in love with Jesus. He grew more consistent, more stable.
In Washington state, there was a young woman, miserable and alone, seeking Jesus and His peace. Longing to know Him and His love intimately, she searched for years to find His truth. Then through mutual friends and a series of small miracles, the young man and young lady met. He taught her a Bible study in a corner booth at the local Denny’s restaurant. She was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost. She had finally found the answers for her hungry soul. The two fell in love and were married…
It didn’t take long for this young couple to realize that they were not prepared or equipped to have a thriving marriage… They needed examples and mentors. They needed skills and tools. Their search to find ‘normal’ ignited a consuming desire to HELP PEOPLE BECOME…

Tim is obsessed with becoming fluent in Spanish, practicing hours a day. His driving goal is to counsel, give Bible studies and preach to native Spanish speakers.

Although our nest is now empty of children, we have a 5-year-old golden doodle named Finnegan, or Finn. He was the Mother’s Day gift that keeps on giving and he is definitely man’s best friend.
